Post Disney I ate quite a bit over the last week at disney. Quite a bit of walking but at the same time the calorie intake of drinking around the world at epcot took a toll. But we put on an incrediable disney pace.

I’m still trying to figure out if I’m up because of how much water I drank on Sunday.  This weigh might be elevated slightly but I definitely feel pudgy.

Props to Nicki

We went to great america yesterday, and with the kids getting a little bit taller they can go on a more variety of rides. The good is that they are more thrilling, the bad is that you have to wait longer for all of them.
Tan man is now 48 inches with shoes on and we went to the giant drop for the first time. They remeasured him at the ride even though we got him premeasured before at guest relations. Lots of cheering from the crowd commenced as he was put back on the ride.
Nicki drove home that late evening and I fell asleep. So she gets the props. Keleous stayed up with her and kept her “entertained” with his ideas for rides that he was going to invent. It was a good fun day.
Also the kids were wearing under armor stuff as was I. It’s a huge difference between feeling sticky with sweat and being able to enjoy your day. It made the experience way more enjoyable.

Well it was a week and I stayed on the wagon, well besides the extra brat on Saturday. I ate it knowing that I shouldn’t be. But I didn’t eat after 8:00 all week. That paired with quite a bit going on kept me busy. I find that when I’m busy I don’t have time to eat, or I want to eat as quickly as possible to keep going. This relates more to lunch than to dinner just for the sake that I want to not lose my train of thought. Other things in the mix this week are a trip to great America on wed, and getting the 3d tv hooked up in the office for a computer.

Oh yeah, and this marks 5 weeks of this diet.  I started at 182 on the head.  So that’s about a lb a week.  We will need to see if it was just a fluxuation.

Well, another week another struggle. This week I made it on the bike 0 times. I’m itching to get back on and I’ll say that I really missed it. The good news is that I didn’t eat out a ton. The bad news is that I ate more than I normally would at home. I was taking seconds on meals or making my portions to big. And as I was eating I was in that I don’t really care funk. On Wed I messed up my shoulder pretty good on the lazy river and myself and Nicki couldn’t get it back in place. But really it just came out to eating to much on the weekend again. Mid week I was down a half a pound.

As a bonus I’ll say that I added the cadence detector and speedometer to my bike. The speed is way more accurate than the gps alone.

Well, first for a little good news. My training time for my bike fitness test was down from 43.16 to 38.15. That’s huge. The bad news I didn’t loose any weight. I was on the bike for the longest I had been on it all summer. But if I had to count the amount of times I ate out in the last week. Well it was 10 times. 5 lunches and 5 dinners. I’m happy I didn’t put on more weight. Also on Saturday night I broke the cardinal rule and ate after 8:00. It was Gregs last Saturday at Moes so I’m thinking that the few extra calories were more than justified, BUT that means I have to pull it together this week to make up for it.

Ah yes, the Cake and ice cream for the week caught up with me. I woke up this morning full, and I knew that was a bad sign. So I’m up weight from the last weigh in. I rode the bike a little bit more than the previous week so you would think the number would be down. But Sunday consisted of Hot dogs, Crescent rolls, hamburgers, chips, ice cream and cake. And that’s the reason I’m up weight, because I ate all of it. The good news? There’s always another week.

It’s been a week. And in the recap I have stuck to form. I only put up about 2 rides in for a total of 1800 calories, this makes up for half a pound. Considering it was July 4th and a three day weekend I’ll call it a win. There was food everywhere but for the most part I stuck to the diet. I gave myself some leeway on ride days. Tommorrow is a big hurdle for the week. I’m going to a brewers game and I really will need to watch how much I consume there.

My goal 170

I want to drop 12 lbs. I started at 182 last monday. The most I have weighted in over 5 years. I want to be sub 170. Here’s my strategy. not lose more than 2 lbs a week. But more than 1. Eat 3 meals a day. At standard intervals. Make them light but the biggest meal by far will be lunch. If i know a big dinner is coming, I’ll make lunch lighter. I get a snack at 7:30 but before 8:00.  I do not get to eat after 8:00 PM.  No matter what. If I miss it. I don’t get to make it up. I’m going to do the same workout level as normal which is about 1-2 times a week I’ll be on the bike. Weight in’s will be on monday, this will make it so that I don’t cheat on the weekends.

New Car

Well, after looking around for about 2 or 3 months and going on 13 test drives we have decided on the Infiniti G37 AWD.  This is replacing the Nissan altima that we drove around since… well before we were even married.  It was a great runner and we plan on holding onto this car for at least the next decade to.  The only question, is when Keleous turns 16, do you let him get behind the wheel of a car that toats 330 HP?  Good thing I have a decade to figure that out.

Blown Speakers

After about a decade, my speakers finally have kicked the bucket. The woofers actually ripped right out of the casing. So I’m in the market. I think that I can remake the case with some MDF and some paint for the broken ones because they are duals and only the passive is ripped but it’s time to look around.
